Dr. Maura Haley
Dr. Maura Haley is a dedicated veterinarian with a passion for providing gentle, end-of-life care to beloved pets and their families. Originally from Massachusetts, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and recently graduated from Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine.
As a valued member of the Final Journey team, Dr. Maura is committed to helping pets pass peacefully in the comfort of their homes, while offering gentle support and guidance to families during one of the most emotional moments in the human-animal bond.
Dr. Maura’s path toward end-of-life care was deeply influenced by a personal experience in high school, when she had to say goodbye to her beloved family dog, Riley. Riley had always felt anxious at the veterinary clinic, and Maura strongly advocated for an at-home euthanasia. That experience, watching Riley pass in a familiar, loving environment surrounded by her family left a profound impact. It showed her firsthand how meaningful and peaceful a goodbye at home can be, not just for the pet, but for the entire family. That moment became a defining influence in shaping her approach to veterinary medicine.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Maura enjoys hiking with her dogs, painting, and exploring her new surroundings. She recently relocated to the area with her two dogs and two cats.
